Vintage Summer - Mixed media on board 90cm x 90cm

This painting was entered into Seascape and Beyond Art Exhibition 2012 as part of a fundraising exhibition for Beyond Blue. Sold $350. Based on an image found on the net of girls in vintage-looking swimwear. Modelling compound was added to the paint to create texture and then the image was artwork was sanded to give that rough, vintage look to the paint, as though it had been sitting in the sun for a long time... just like the bleached wood found laying in the sand at the beach.
